Women’s empowerment in Nicaragua

Shelly Grabe has published extensively on women’s empowerment and the women’s movement in Nicaragua, including the following book:

Nicaraguan feminist Sofia Montenegro wrote a very powerful book about the early history of the Xochilt Acalt Women”s Center in Malpaisillo, called, “The Keys to Empowerment.” Donna Vukelick translated into English for WCCN in 2004. This book also inspired me to keep digging deeper into the keys of Xochilt-Acalt’s success.
